The Italian Riviera in 24hrs

My roommate Katty, and I decided to take an impromptu trip to Genoa, Italy. Genoa lies on the Italian Rivera. Early that morning we departed to take a bus that would lead to an incredible journey. Upon arrival, we walked around and saw Genoa. Because it was a smaller city, we decided to take a train to Portofino. Portofino is allegedly one of the most beautiful cities on the Italian Rivera. We were not disappointed. Our first stop out of Genoa was St. Margherita, a quaint, lively town. We were definitely the only tourists there and it was obvious by the number of stares. The bus to Portofino went around windy cliffs that overlooked the water below. Our day trip was one for the books.
